Jon Holden Adams

Mr. Adams is a graduate of Colgate University (B.A. 1965), the George Washington University School of Law (J.D. 1968) and New York University School of Law (LL.M. 1974), where he received a Master of Laws degree. He joined the firm in 1974, following his work in New York City with the Legal Aid Society.
Mr. Adams is a recognized authority on zoning law and land use planning, as well as environmental law. He regularly represents large commercial developers, as well as individuals, before municipalities in zoning and land use matters. He has extensive appellate experience in both federal and state courts.
Mr. Adams is a former principal law clerk to the Honorable Raymond E. Aldrich, Jr., Dutchess County Court Judge, and the Honorable Judith A. Hillery, Dutchess County Court Judge. He was the Attorney to the Town of Wappinger, and the Town Attorney for the Town of Pine Plains. He was counsel to the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority, and has been a member of numerous professional and civic organizations.
