Michael G. Gartland

Michael G. Gartland joined our firm in 1974. Mr. Gartland is a graduate of Fairfield University and Albany Law School.
Mr. Gartland specializes in commercial and mortgage banking, mortgage foreclosure, banking regulation and real estate law. He regularly represents national, regional and local banking institutions doing business in the Hudson Valley region of New York.
Mr. Gartland is a past chairman and life trustee of Saint Francis' Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York; co-trustee of the James J. McCann Charitable Trust; vice president of the McCann Foundation, Inc.; member of the board of trustees of Marist College; member of the board of trustees of Kildonan School; co-trustee of the Charlotte Cunneen-Hackett Charitable Trust; member of the board of trustees of the New York Catholic Foundation; past chairman and member of the board of directors of the Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency; and past vice chairman and member of the City of Poughkeepsie Planning Board.

Mr. Gartland is admitted to practice in New York and the Federal District Court for the Northern and Southern District of New York.
Mr. Gartland is a member of the Dutchess County, New York State and American Bar Associations. He and his wife, Pam, reside in Poughkeepsie, New York.
